FAQ - Mozambique Accommodation

Mozambique accommodation.

What type of accommodation can I expect?

Mozambique offers an impressive range of accommodation options, depending on your location. The larger tourist areas have a wider selection, from budget backpacker lodges to 4 and 5 star resorts and hotels.

Is Mozambique a good family destination?

A Mozambique holiday is an excellent and exciting family experience. Many Mozambique hotels and lodges are child friendly, but some have different policies regarding ages of children.

Many of these lodges also have child minding facilities and trained care givers, so while mom and dad are out, you can rest assured that your child is being taken care of. A family holiday in Mozambique is an exciting, educational and unique experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Is Mozambique a Special Needs and Wheelchair friendly destination?

Mozambique is a third world African country. Even though the main cities of Maputo an Inhambane are quite developed, the rest of the country is still very rural, with only basic necessities. Mozambique is therefore not an easy country to travel to if you have a disability, and is especially not wheelchair friendly.

Some of the lodges might be wheelchair friendly, so inquire beforehand. The beaches are not suited for wheelchair use. There are, however, numerous organizations that organize tours of Mozambique for disabled travelers. It might be a good idea to join one of these groups for a completely rewarding experience in this spell binding country.
